Things I have discovered....

1. I can no longer tie my shoes or my combat boots without getting out of breath and squishing my kid.
2. I can no longer paint my own toes
3. I can no longer wear some of my maternity pants from earlier in my pregnancy.
4. I can no longer wear T-shirts that used to be my big wear to bed shirts.
5. I can no longer shave the left side of my left leg with my right hand, meaning I have become ambidextrous when it comes to shaving but need to be extremely careful not to cut myself.
6. There are certain parts of my body that I truly just can’t see any more.
7. Heartburn is no joke.
8. You cannot overdose on Tums but in severe cases of heart burn you’d like to.
9. When your organs are directly below your chest things can just be uncomfortable.
10. No matter how hungry I think I am I still can’t eat a full meal anymore.
11. The scale is the enemy
12. Bedtime for me means playtime for the baby
13. Sleep is a strange concept cause when you can’t get comfortable and every time you roll over you discover you have to pee means you are not getting much of it.
14. I am no longer as organized as I once was.
15. The more my kid’s brain develops the dumber I get.
16. Buy stock in sticky pads because between my dad and I we use enough to make you some money in the stock market.
17. I am not glowing I am sweating
18. I am so darn hot and can’t get the air conditioner low enough to feel better.
19. I no longer like water as much as I used to.
20. People are rude when they point out how big you are getting. I am the one carrying the weight do they think I don’t realize how big I have gotten.
21. I can no longer walk as fast as the old lady next to me on the tred mill- go figure since my lungs have disappeared.
22. I miss wine.

Over all I love being pregnant, though I am not sure exactly why.

Christine!
Congratulations! I'm so excited for you and Gene! And now that my baby is out, I can truly laugh at every thing on your list! Especially the heartburn! I never had it as bad with Halle, but they even had to give me medicine for it at the hospital because I had it during labor. I can't wait for you to have JC--thank goodness for blogs-maybe now we can stay in touch better! Congrats again! Love- Amy :)-

"Yankee Born...Southern Living" Christine: Born and raised in Naugatuck, CT. I moved to SC to be closer to my dad when he retired. I am a graduate of Southern Connecticut with a degree in Liberal Studies. I currently work for Merrill Lynch and Old Navy but being a mom is the best job I have ever had. Gene: Claims to have grown up in NY but he spent most of his life in CT. He graduated from Taconic Hills and then headed to Porter and Chester for a trade in automotive- that he has never used. Gene currently works at Osprey Marina and loves spending his days outside with boats. He is also training to be a volunteer fireman. JC: Is the perfect toddler...or atleast he is in my eyes. He is still on a schedule that you can tell time by. He love country music, dancing to whatever beat he can find, helping with chores, and reading.
